Way overdue for a Fashionista post. This one was worth the wait!
Fashionista: Senem Kudat Ward
Occupation: Senior Assistant Dean of Admission at the University of Virginia
The occasion: Helping Jeannine (blogger friend from Small & Chic in Cville) shop for wedding gowns at West Main Bridal
Senem’s style is the kind I only wish I could pull off. Fun layers, quirky colors, and – a mallard! It all comes together for a look that’s one of a kind.
(Mallard sweater from Anthropologie)
Her style reflects her outgoing personality, confidence, and positive attitude!

Isn’t Senem the best? Her style inspires me to try and break out of my rut (as does this blog!). I don’t always have the confidence to do it, of course.
I know, I love her style! Although, I’m not sure what “rut” of yours you’re referring to. You always look fantastic!
As a former academic myself, I appreciate all the color in Dean Ward’s outfit. At our image clinic at ManhattanMakeovers.com we’re still laughing at a comment by a librarian at one school where I worked who said the members of the English department dressed like slobs.
She does look great, doesn’t she? No matter what your profession, you can look chic!
I liked her earrings
